Kingwood Golf Club and Resort, near Clayton, Georgia is the centerpiece of one of North Georgia's finest mountain resorts.  Though Pool did not design the course originally, he was commissioned to do a complete redesign of the course for The Killearn Corporation in 1999.

A challenging par 71 mountain course, Kingwood features Bermuda Grass tees and fairways.  The course is only 6,016 yards long, but is very well defended by the small, undulating, Bent Grass greens.  Surrounded by the beautiful North Georgia mountains, Kingwood is lined with mature hardwoods, and made more challenging by small streams that appear throughout the 18 hole layout.  Accurate, well-placed shots are required to score well.
