Golf is an industry with many facets. As a designer, I'm considered a resource by many of my contacts in the business. One day I'm discussing maintenance issues with a superintendent friend in Tennessee. The next I'm on the phone with a developer in North Carolina. And later in the week I'm forced to join the club pro at one of my courses for 18 holes of hard labor!
But what do I do when I have questions? I hit the internet. Or call up a friend who knows more about the subject at hand than I do. Or I make something up. Just kidding.

There are many great resources on the internet, and this page is where I'll put links I appreciate and enjoy as time goes on. Naturally, I've put links to the websites of the courses I've designed, along with other sites I find valuable and interesting. I'll be adding more as I discover new sites that can help those of us who make our living in this business, so drop by often and tell your friends. And if you have links you think would have value to others in the business, Email Me and if I like it, I'll add it!

Maintenance Issues
USGA Turf Management
This is where it all starts. The USGA is the ultimate authority and this page is a great jumping off point for answers to questions on greens maintenance, the latest turf research, environmental programs and more.
GreenScan 3D
GreenScan 3D is our exclusive, high definition green scanning service that has completely redefined the process of restoring golf greens. We developed this site to better explain the service, which is incredibly accurate and very cost-effective.
Golf Course Superintendents Association of America
These are the folks who put on The Golf Industry Show, and like the USGA, they provide a wealth of information.
Golf Greens - Rebuild or Resurface
I've put this link here for two reasons. First, if you're interested in golf course maintenance, the USGA has put together some great research on greens maintenance. But second, this article shines a light on how important it is to build your greens properly in the first place… something we take great pride in at Scott W. Pool Golf Course Design.
